Beans

“Beans, beans, the magical fruit. The more you eat them, the more you toot! The more you toot, the better you feel. Beans, beans, for ev-er-y meal!” All joking aside, I tend to eat a decent amount of beans, but they are usually not the star of the meal. Instead, they may be added to a breakfast burrito, or as a simply-seasoned side to another meal. These recipes are ones where the beans take center stage. If you are using canned beans with added salt, it is probably best to not add additional salt until near the end of the cooking process and after tasting if possible.
