Pasta

I do not eat a lot of pasta, especially since the kids have moved out. That may be due to a heavy diet of Kraft Mac & Cheese, and Top Ramen instant noodles while I was in college killing my taste for it. Even though I spent a bit of time in northern Italy at one point, I tended to avoid pasta. Except one night my co-workers wanted to go to a place that only served pasta. I decided to try the shrimp scampi and it was simply amazing and unlike any pasta dish I had eaten before. Unfortunately, the next morning I had a flight out of the country, and have not yet had a chance to go back. If I do end up in Italy again, I will be sure to sample more pasta. While I have experimented making noodles at home with good results, working with dough is not nearly as enjoyable to me as other types of cooking.
